This has been an emotionally tiring week. With my husband out of town for the first time ever! I am trying to stay focused and keep things simple while he's out of town. I thought i'd enjoy the alone time but it's pretty quiet around here. The boys are really missing Chris and Eric has taken on the roll of "Big guy in control"- He thinks he has to enforce all of the rules! And his brothers are not enjoying it a bit!
Chris is loving the sunshine in Florida for several more days and he's enjoying his time on the Superbowl field and with his friends Todd & Ted. Yesterday, he was able to watch the players interviews and photo shoots on the field (very exciting for a football fan!). Then he watched Bruce, Jennifer Hudson & Faith Hill all practice for the show! Very exciting! We can't wait for him to come home!

I have so much to tell him about... the kids and a new business venture with Pia! We are designing and creating flip flops! Right now we are still reaching and talking with other business owners about what will work and how we can make our FRIENDS our best customers! We have found an awesome supplier and we just need to find the bling! Stay tuned!!

And now, my other passion!
I was a little productive this week. I've put a few things together and I continue to welcome any constructive criticism. Please tell me what you honestly think!

So, I think I made a mistake about telling some of you about this site... I am scared for you to see it:). I started this because I was educating myself on selling items online. And everywhere I looked I found great and fasinating blogs. So here I go...

As most of you who know me, I've been writing on the walls of my home for years -using paints, freehand and stencils. About a year ago my friend introduced me to Vinyl writing. So, I went out and purchased ALL the materials to make my own. I always think I can save a dollar by making my own!

With the economy the way that it is (the housing market sucks!) we have been forced to live a more simpler life. And as the holidays were approaching my husband would literally get panic attacks thinking about my holiday spending. After two emergency room trips, I committed to stay within budget. Which, is really hard!!

I ended up jumping at the chance to make a lot of Christmas gifts and I (i think they) really enjoyed it. Although, I've been going through lot's of materials trying to make them look just right.
So, please bear with me. I am continuing to educated myself on what works and does not. As well, as what I like.

Holiday gifts I made

It was a busy Christmas season. It seamed to go by faster than ever this year. We put up our trees and decorations and then.. poof! it was over. Of course we had some celebrations but it just went by way to fast for me.

This year I made each family member an ornament with their name & year and I used them as place settings for our Thanksgiving dinner. They were a hit but I forgot to take pictures. ugh!

I also made lots of these tiles, unfortunately these are the only ones I have pictures of. I also used glass plates, candy dishes and platters to give our neighbors sweet holiday treats. I personalized them with seasonal sayings and their names. That way, they knew the dish was part of the gift. I hope you like them.
